The curriculum
Employers today look for technical, interpersonal, and leadership skills in the workforce. We believe that students can and do build interpersonal and leadership skills through their residential experiences.
We’ve developed a residential curriculum that focuses on a holistic approach to ensure our residents gain the skills that will help them succeed academically at IU Bloomington and beyond. Each learning goal in our curriculum involves staff training, ongoing assessment, and strategic planning to create an intentional student experience designed around our residents' needs.
Our curriculum educates, empowers, and engages residents throughout the academic year by providing opportunities to explore four themes through discussions with floor mates, larger group initiatives, and independently through materials and resources distributed by IU Housing staff.
