We encourage students to complete and submit our Medical Verification Form if you have a disability or chronic condition that impacts your daily living environment. Both the Medical Verification Form and housing contract must be on file for an assignment to be made. It is important that you communicate thoroughly and early to give our office time to review, verify and find reasonable accommodation. Medical forms received after your key date below may not be reviewed until a later date or may result in a delay of accommodation.
Adjustments to housing assignments due to health-related symptoms that do not rise to the level of a significant disabling condition, such as living with a particular roommate, religious practices, proximity to academic or campus buildings, or a desire for a quiet/undisturbed place to study, are considered housing preferences. Housing preferences are not accommodated through our ADA and Medical Verification Form process.
Residence halls, furnished apartments, and unfurnished apartments are equipped with air conditioning. Environmental allergies are commonly aided with personal air purifiers that students are welcome to bring in. Please review the prohibited item list on our policies page.
