The IU Police Department (IUPD) services the campus, including the residence halls and on-campus apartments. They may be contacted at 911 for immediate policy, fire, and medical assistance or 812-855-4111 for non-emergencies.
The university also has several resources available for student mental health.
Our residential buildings are equipped with fire alarms, extinguishers, hoses, smoke detectors, and sprinkler systems.

The exterior doors of our residential buildings are locked daily between the hours of 9 p.m. – 6 a.m. Building residents may use their CrimsonCard or Mobile ID to gain entry during this time.

During university break periods the offices are closed. Summer term hours will be announced just prior to the beginning of that term.
Resident Assistants or Housing Assistants, graduate supervisors, and full-time staff members reside in the buildings. A staff member is on-call 24/7 and may be reached through the office phone number (?).
