Virtual Residence Life Office Hours

Our residence life team is here to help you navigate this unprecedented experience. We are excited to begin offering virtual residence life office hours.

Office hours will be open to all our residents, even if you have already moved off campus. During these virtual office hours, residence life staff will check on how you are doing, and you can ask any questions you may have.

This five to ten minute experience will hopefully provide you with a welcoming face and meaningful engagement during what is a challenging time for all of us. We recommend using the video chat for better contentedness and support, but if you need to call by phone that is also an available option.

Office hours are April 13 - May 1, Monday - Friday, 10 a.m.–12 noon and 2–4 p.m. (EST). Follow these instructions to get connected!

Instructions

  1. You will need to download Zoom for your mobile device, tablet, or laptop in order to use the web link. You may also simply call in via phone and use the Meeting ID, but you will not be able to see the staff member and they will not be able to see you using the call-in option.
  2. Use the link or phone number with Meeting ID to access either of the virtual desks for residence hall office hours.
  3. You will be placed in a waiting room and given access to meet with a staff member once they are available.
  4. Office hours are meant to offer a five to ten minute experience to assist and connect with residents.
  5. After you have connected with a staff member, you may receive a survey through email asking about your experience.
  6. If your wait is too long at one virtual desk, feel free to explore the wait time at the other. Since we hope to connect and check in with residents during these hours, we expect that wait times may vary. We do not have a way to let you know current wait time.
